This has been one crazy year. Don’t you agree? This pandemic has messed up a lot of our plans. It also messed up a lot of my family’s plans. I knew that I had to make it up to them. I decided that it would be perfect to bring them to Lion Country Safari.
You may be wondering, “What’s Lion Country Safari?’ No worries, I’m going to you all about it.
Lion Country Safari is a drive-through safari park and walk-through adventure park located in Loxahatchee, FL. The park is open on weekdays 10:00 am – 5:00 pm and weekends 9:30 am – 5:30 pm. The park has nearly 600 acres and has over 1000 animals. Admission has been reduced to $19 plus tax per person. Children 2 years old and under are free. During the drive-through, it’s best to keep your windows up and your doors locked. Some of the animals get closed. We experienced that during our visit. I feel like they were saying “Hi”. As soon as we started driving through the drive-through I instantly saw the smile on my children’s faces. They knew they were getting ready to see the animals. We listened to the audio tour as we drove through the safari. You can also print the Jambo Guide at home if you like.
We enjoyed the drive-through for about three hours. Some guests spend less or more time it just all depends. The staff members always had their masks on. Which made us feel safe. Lion Country Safari has several safety protocols in place such as:
- No Contact Entry – It’s required to purchase your tickets in advance
- The safari drive-through is only open. It’s required to stay in your vehicles while driving through the Safari.
- The restrooms are clean – Staff members are cleaning several times a day while wearing their mask and gloves.
It felt good to be able to do something fun and adventurous right in the comfort of our car. My family enjoyed our time at Lion Country Safari. We can’t wait to visit again. Here are some of the beautiful animals we saw. It was really a great experience.
If you’re looking for something fun, adventurous, and safe to do while in Florida, check out Lion Country Safari! You won’t regret it.
