The easiest way to make pizza with children

2:36 am Blog Post, Lifestyle, Mom Life

This blog post is sponsored by Jus-Rol. All opinions are my own.

My oldest son Josiah wanted to bake a pizza. He noticed that a few children at his summer camp were baking, and he wanted to give it a try with me. I was honored but nervous. Baking is one of my least favorite things to do because it takes up so much time. Also, I usually just purchase the ready to eat pizza from restaurants. This time I decided to give it a try. I found a brand called “Jus-Rol. Jus-Rol products are refrigerated dough that makes it easy to prepare impressive appetizers, entrees, and deserts. It’s rolled on baking paper for simple prep and easy clean up. Also, these products are non-GMO, vegetarian, include no artificial flavors/colors, plus so much more.

As we started to prepare the pizza we started smiling and laughing. It didn’t seem like we were preparing a pizza because it was so easy to prepare. Josiah was the chef, and I was his assistant. We started off by rolling the pizza dough on the pizza tray. I love that the pizza dough comes with a baking sheet. Then we added some tomato-based pizza sauce. Josiah enjoyed that part and he couldn’t wait to add the other items to the pizza. Then he added some mozzarella cheese and pepperoni. That was really it. My family are simple eaters, so we just love to eat a regular pepperoni pizza. After we were finished, the pizza was ready to go into the oven. I love that jus rol products come with instructions and tell you what to put the temperature on and how long to keep it in the oven for. So, we followed those instructions. After that the pizza was complete.

Once the pizza was ready, Chef Josiah and I couldn’t wait to dig in and enjoy this yummy pizza. It tastes really good, and I love that it was a great way to bring our family together. It was not messy at all. Having the baking paper already attached to the dough made my pan stay clean. Also, it seems like Chef Josiah and I will be making more pizzas and trying out more of jus rol products. They also have products to make pastries, flatbreads, pies. They make it easy for you to create these yummy meals. You can buy Jus-Rol products directly on their website.

Happy 11th wedding anniversary to us! 💍 5 thing Happy 11th wedding anniversary to us! 💍
5 things that we’ve learned:

- As we get older, we change. It’s up to both of us to adjust to the change and be willing to accept the change. Change isn’t always bad. Change is good for growth!

- There will be times when we can’t stand each other. It’s up to us to work through the situations and move on. Life is too short to be mad at the person you love. Sometimes it’s the pettiest thing that makes us can’t stand our partners, but marriage is a partnership. It will work if both of you want it to.

- Never go to bed angry! That’s the worst because what usually happens is the situations continue to pile up. Think of it as a balloon. When you blow into the balloon, the balloon gets bigger and bigger to the point that it may pop. That’s the same thing when we’re angry with our partner. When you go to bed angry, you allow the anger to continue to build up. Then the situation explodes and it could’ve been resolved if you would’ve talked about it that night before it got worst.

- If you fall out of love, work on falling back into love if you want your marriage to work. This is a team commitment. Sometimes we fall out of love if our partner. They may stop complimenting us. Sometimes you may feel unappreciated and it’s up to you to express how you feel to your partner and for you guys to work on those things. So you can feel loved again and remember why you fell in love with them.

- Marriage isn’t always 50/50 and you should be ok with it. Sometimes you may be doing more than your partner. Sometimes your partner may be doing more than you and it’s ok as long as you guys work together to get things done. No marriage is perfect. It takes work. It takes commitment and it takes two people to make it work.

What’s one thing that you have learned in your marriage?

It’s something about watching a man (the head of the house) put things in order. My husband had a hard life growing up in Jamaica, but that doesn’t mean our children need to go through the same.

Generational trauma symptoms are low self-esteem, depression, anxiety, insomnia, anger, and self-destructive behaviors. It’s important to break these cycles. Working through the hurts, pain, and healing from the past helps our children to not go through the same.

How are you breaking the cycle of generational trauma?
